Today was a special day in Carlisle....Homecoming. They always have a great Homecoming weekend with lots of activities planned for everyone. O has been to the Homecoming assembly and parade every year with Nan and Pop. This year we thought we would break the twins in easy and start by taking them to their 1st parade. After the assembly, we met them for the parade.
The parade starts at the school, goes around town and up through Main Street. While we were waiting, we walked the kids over to the City Park. Of course, the twins loved the swings.....
And O was so proud to show us how she is learning to do the monkey bars/rings at school.
In the distance, we could hear the band playing and the cheerleaders cheering, so we decided we better get back to our seats to get ready.
FYI....fries are a great snack to help pass time.
Here they come.....O waited on the curb for them to come by.
Nan and AK waved at the Homecoming Royalty float. (I think Nan taught most of these kids, so it is always fun for her to see them growing up.) O loved all of the sparkly dresses.
All of the floats threw candy. O was a little hesitant to go out in the street to get it, so Nan helped her....

Some floats even through beads- just like Mardi Gras. We made a pile of candy on the grass and as O said, "I think we got plenty".
This sweet baby girl loved the parade....she squealed and squealed....she wore herself out!
After a little break at Nan and Pop's house, O headed off to the game to cheer on the Bison. Nan got her this new t-shirt and she felt soooo big.
The Carlisle Bison won after a great game! Thanks Nan and Pop for such a fun day and a "first" for the twins.
