Today is Paul's birthday. He really is getting old.....
We celebrated with dinner at a fun restaurant. Paul requested it because he thought it would be nice and loud (a prerequisite when taking two babies to dinner). It was fun to have both set of our parents in town to celebrate. We missed you, Lee/Mel and crew!
After dinner our official party planner, O, had quite an agenda for the festivities. First she sang "Happy Birthday" while playing her new guitar. (A real one, I might add! - Thanks, Nette- no really, thanks for inspiring my child to be a musician.) I did get it on video, so if she ever makes it big, we will have proof that she started young.
After the concert, the babies headed to bed and O directed the opening of the presents. She couldn't wait for him to open his gift she picked out all by herself....a tape measure, mini screwdriver kit, utility knife and a set of 2 paint brushes (one for her and one for him). Just what he wanted!
Time for cake....."Death by Chocolate" cake from Shake's. Enough said.

Happy Birthday to Paul! He and Lane almost celebrate birthdays on the same day (L's was the 31st). O's gift of paint brushes is so sweet!
