We had a family outing to Krispy Kreme for donuts this morning. When we pulled up and parked, O said, "This is where Uncle Bo likes to eat. Remember, Momma?" I had forgotten, but yes, we had gotten Uncle Bo some donuts before, but it was a long time ago. I'm talking over a year ago. How do children remember these things?
All 3 waiting on donuts!
While we were there, they offered a tour of the kitchen for the children. O didn't hesitate....she stood right up and got in line to go. I decided to go along to take pictures.

Before you can tour the kitchen, there is a dance you must do. Well, O sure didn't have a problem with that task! She could dance with the best of them....right in the middle of Krispy Kreme!!
On the tour, she got to feel of a donut before it is cooked.
Here the lady is telling how all of the machines work.
Last she showed the kids how they make the chocolate covered donut with sprinkles. (
O's favorite!) See that big box full of sprinkles?? They dip half of the donut in the chocolate sauce in the silver round pot and then dip it in the big box. They do every one by hand. (Notice the little boy in the red shirt. That is
O's friend, R, who was there for breakfast, too!)

A, R and O after the tour.
O also had a birthday party this morning. It was at a gymnastics gym and boy was it fun!
There were two slides that landed the kids in a foam pit,

an obstacle course,
and a trampoline that was built into the ground!
So fun! As we were leaving, O asked if she could have her birthday party there.....we'll see.
We headed home for naps and a quiet afternoon....until we decided we would grill some hot dogs and invite over some friends to let the kids swim.
The babies, along with Avery, making their debut in the kiddie pool.
The big girls decided to swing after swimming.
To top it all off, homemade ice cream- along with sprinkles!! Yum!!
Thanks for coming, Clintons, we had a great time!
What a day! I'm exhausted but I am loving that my life is somewhat getting back to normal!!
