The Big D

Thursday was offically Paul's last day of work! Yahoo!!

You may have heard his shout of celebration....

Nan and Pop offered to keep the twins so we could take O for a fun weekend to Dallas....and oh what fun we had. We started by stopping to visit some of our very favorite people who have moved home to Texas. O loved seeing her buddies Z and T.

Click here to see MK's post.....these two go way back....well as far as 4 year olds can go, anyway! Oh we miss you all, MK!! It was so fun to see you and the family.

Friday we headed to The American Girl Boutique and Bistro.

Gran Bet, Aunt Mel, Kelli, MR and M met us there. We had lunch and shopped.....

Three really excited girls headed to the Bistro.Waiting to go into the Bistro....Look at the American Girl dolls they have lined up just in case someone forgets their doll. Beneath the dolls are the highchairs for the dolls. Yes, they sat at the table with us.The girls with their babies, ready to order.O ordered heart shaped ravioli with mac & cheese and carrot sticks.Aunt Mel and MR.Kelli and Gran Bet showing their fruit kabobs with heart and star shaped fruits.

They all have birthdays this summer, so each girl got to pick out a doll from Gran Bet and Gramps. Talk about exciting!! Thanks Gran Bet and Gramps!! O loves her new doll.

So fun and so tired!

After a short rest, we caught up with the guys and headed to eat and to a Texas Rangers game with Kelli and Collin.
Collin got us tickets....they were on the 5th row! O got to see the mascot and get a Texas tattoo on her hand. Not to mention the cotton candy......Thanks, Collin, we had a great time!

Saturday the guys headed out to play golf and the girls had a full day of shopping planned. Kelli was our offical tour guide. She knows all the fun shops......and fun places to eat. We had lunch at a really neat diner and headed to Sprinkles, a cupcake bakery.

Kelli helped O to choose her cupcake. She thought she wanted the chocolate because it had sprinkles, but the pink ended up being her choice. Such a girl!! We got a few of the chocolate with sprinkles for Paul.

Enjoying a great cupcake!

Shopping at a great party store.

Whew! Worn out.....We had a great time and lots of fun. I had somewhat forgotten the ease of traveling with an older child. O was great....I foresee a great shopping buddy!

Thanks again, Collin and Kelli! We will definitely be back to visit again!
