We always spend Christmas Eve with Paul's family.....This year we woke up, ate breakfast and headed to Memaw and Grandad's to open presents. O was the official "gift hander-outer" and she took her job very serious. She was so proud that she could read the tags and knew whose name was on the tag.
We always take turns and go around the room- each person opening one gift at time.
AK and O took a rest while waiting their turn.
When it was the twins turn, they couldn't wait for me to get their new bucket of blocks open for them! Yes- they are still in their pj's!
Afterward, it was time for lunch at Nan and Pop's. O had her own place at the table, complete with her own small plate. The babies didn't quite make it to lunch- they crashed.
After lunch, O just couldn't wait to start handing out gifts, again! She was in heaven!
The babies slept while we exchanged gifts, so O had the stage all to herself. She was so excited to get this little cat she wanted.
We were excited to give this photo book to Nan and Pop. The front of it is a picture of O with a bronze Minnie at Walt Disney World. The book is full of pictures of our trip with Nan and Pop last spring.
Nan and Pop really surprised O with this one. They wrapped up a really big box, put a smaller wrapped box inside and in that box were the tags from a new bike. O opened it and looked up to find a new bike sitting beside her. I was on the wrong side of her to get her true expression, but you can somewhat see her mouth open wide. She was truly surprised!!
So...outside we all went to try out the new bike- it even has a Barbie bike with Barbie on the handle bars.
When the babies woke up, we helped them open their gifts. They each got their own little electric 4wheelers- hilarious!! They finally figured out how to push the button to make it go, but had no idea how to steer. I'm surprised Nan's Christmas tree survived! There were many times AK almost took it out.
Watch out- here they come!!
