America's Birthday!

Ready for an exciting day!

This morning we saw Brian Kinder in concert. O has his CDs and can sing along with him.

After naps, we headed to some over to see some friends, eat hot dogs and have popsicles. The kids had so much fun running and playing in the backyard.

Look at all these girls....all the boys stayed inside.

Enjoying the Rocket Pops....perfectly red, white and blue.
As dark approached, Anne pulled out the glow-in-the-dark bracelets and necklaces. So fun! We all loaded up and went to PV to lay out our blankets on the golf course and get ready for the fireworks.

( I don't think the kids realized the bracelets were our way of keeping up with our crew among the crowd. It was so dark and we had no trouble knowing who belonged with us. Great thinking, Anne!)

So excited, waiting for the fireworks show. Notice the band-aid on the forehead....

Happy Birthday, America!

Was there an actual boo-boo under the band-aid or is that a new fashion statement?

Both. There was a small boo-boo, but I don't think it needed a band aid. I think that was a fashion statement. Drama....
